There are winners, winners, everywhere! Jack’s Fine Food in Baltimore is having a banner year, having sold five top-prize winning tickets and scratch-offs worth $10,000 to $50,000 in 2023. In fact, the business sold three five-figure prize-winning tickets in less than two months.

One of those winners was a Baltimore woman who claimed a $50,000 Pick 5 prize. She received a license plate several years ago for her then-new car but it had a tag number she didn’t like. The 50-year-old requested a different plate but had to settle for the one she disliked. Little did she know that a variation of that plate number would bring her a $50,000 prize in September!

The lucky lady is a fan of the Pick 3/4/5 games. She’s used different sets of numbers for her games, but recently one combination kept popping up. It was a variation of her despised tag number.

“It kept appearing everywhere,” said the big winner. “I saw it on paperwork at my job, on other car tags, on TV, everywhere.”

“I just started crying,” said the winner. “I really never thought it would actually come out.” Her husband added, “It could not have come at a better time.” The extremely grateful pair planned to play bills with the winnings and save the rest.

The $50,000 October scratch-off winner at Jack’s Fine Food was Paul Armbrester Jr. of Overlea. The only explanation Paul had for his good fortune was “triple zeros.” The daily player thoroughly enjoys Lottery games and has won plenty of times over the years, but was left with a near-permanent smile after his recent $50,000 win.

After scratching off the $20 game in the store, he ran the instant ticket through the prize-check scanner. The 69-year-old told Lottery officials that he wasn’t surprised with the result. “There they were, those triple zeros.” Luckily for him, there was a $50 and a comma in front of those zeros.

The lucky retailer is located at 4519 Kenwood Avenue in Baltimore. The store collected two $500 bonuses from the Lottery for selling the $50,000-winning Pick 5 ticket and the $50,000 top-prize winning scratch-off. The Expanded Cashing Authority Program retailer attracts lots of players who have a choice of 100 scratch-off facings plus other Lottery games. The store also sold a $10,000 winning Bonus Buck$ scratch-off game in September, a $25,000 Pick 5 ticket in May and a $30,000 Bonus Crossword 4th Edition scratch-off winner in January.

Lottery District Sales Manager Steve Corbin delivered a celebration banner to the store so Owners Harry Patel and Arvindbhai Patel can promote their site’s lucky Lottery status. Two terminals plus a Lottery vending machine give players plenty of purchasing options. Lottery materials and signage cover the front windows and side of the building. Inside, players have a stay-and-play area with a clear view of the expansive Keno and Racetrax monitors.

CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR LUCKY SALES.
KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK!
