Helen, the manager, poses with the celebration banner.

In 2021, in addition to selling the $100,000 top-prize winning 50X The Cash instant ticket, the business sold a $10,000 top-prize winning scratch-off in the $10 $10,000 Extreme Green game. This lucky retailer also sold one $30,000 winning scratch-off and two $10,000 winning scratch-offs in 2020.

For its role in the sale of the $100,000 winning 50X the Cash scratch-off, the business earned a bonus of $1,000 from the Lottery.

Lottery District Sales Manager Larry Baum delivered the promotional celebration banner to the Montgomery County store, where Helen, the manager, placed it on the exterior of the building. She remembers selling the winning scratch-off to the anonymous player!

The celebration banner will increase the service station’s visibility to passersby who look for “lucky Lottery stores” when they are ready to play Lottery games.

Game sales and customer traffic have picked up substantially this fiscal year, with RRK Airpark Exxon exceeding Lottery sales projections for the first quarter of Fiscal Year 2022 by 122.46%. Second quarter Lottery sales look strong, too, and are on pace to also surpass projections by about the same amount.

“Sales for RRK Airport Exxon are rebounding,” Baum said. “Commuter and school traffic have increased significantly as people return to their normal pre-COVID-19 routines.”
